Hand Holding

On the walk to the Schnitzel Fest, for the first time ever, the girls held hands! Because of the leashes though, Maddie used the "other" hand instead of the one closest to Lexi. Lexi's in the blue, Maddie the pink. The last two photos shows Maddie dancing to the music! She loved the band and danced for quite a while!

Schnitzel Fest 2006

Today was the 4th annual Schnitzel Fest here in town. We took the kids and walked around. We were going to try some of the schnitzel and good German beer but they ran out before we could get some! :( Anyway, here are some pics from today's event!!

Nate Being Nate

Joe took these photos of Nate this afternoon after we got back from Schnitzel Fest. His eyes seemed to pop right out with the color from his shirt! Love the funny faces!

First Day of Preschool 2006

Here are a few pics taken today - Nate's first day of preschool! He looked so handsome with his new polo shirt and a nice fresh haircut!! And of course, the girls had to get in on the action as well!! (The single pic is of Lexi - the girls with me, Lexi is on the right.)

He did really well! They've changed the routine a bit from last year. We didn't have to take him to his classroom like before. We meet in front of the school and the teacher goes and picks up the bus kids first and then comes over and gets the ones waiting in front of the school. She has this neat little rope with those large pop beads on it so each student grabs a bead and follows. We thought Nate was going to take his bead and do fine but he tried to walk away so one of the teachers held his hand in one hand and his bead in the other to show him how to do it. But the best part is....HE DIDN'T CRY!! He just turned around and looked at us as he walked down the hall!!! I was SOOO proud!!

How Can You Not Love This Face?

Joe went out to mow the neighbor's lawn tonight and apparently Nate couldn't find his hat. So he went to the coat closet and found the next best thing - one of his sister's hats!! Isn't he a cutie?!

The Nose Knows!

Here are some pics of Nate's nose and eyes a couple of days after he fell on his face! You can see he has a little bit of shiner on his right eye. And in one of the pics, you can see the swelling that's still there a tad. Poor little guy! Sorry they're not all in focus 100% - he wouldn't sit still!

This one was taken last night. He fell asleep half on the ottoman and half on the couch and looked nice and comfy - especially in his new pjs! :)

Like Father, Like Son

Joe finally got home tonight after being in PA/DE for 4 days. He crashed on the couch before 6:30pm because he had been up since 4pm yesterday afternoon. Nate finally fell asleep too - and when I glanced over and saw this, I couldn't resist the photo op. You can't tell they're father and son, can you? They even have the hand between the legs!!!

These were taken last weekend! The boys were messing around on the floor and so I snapped these.

Uh oh, I've Been Caught!!

I just LOVE these photos! One of the girls brought this stretchy headband out of the bathroom one day and the girls took turns putting it on. After they went down for a nap, I caught Nate wearing it. Reminded me of those 80's workout videos with the sweat bands! Then, to my surprise, he picked up one of the girls dolls. What a perfect blackmail opportunity - so out came the camera!!

The Ponies Are Growing!

Lexi's little ponytails are finally getting a little length to them! And I can now incorporate some hair from the back into them! Unfortunately, Maddie's hair is still too short...and even if I do manage to get them in, she pulls them out in about 5.6 seconds. :)

Sisters

It's not very often that the twins sit together and still long enough for me to get decent shots of them. So when they were playing quietly (AND nicely) in the chair this afternoon, I took a few shots. They actually came out quite well! And of course, the girls were hammin' it up!! :)

Another Comparison

Thought we'd do another comparison! Here's daddy and the girls right after they were born and then 2 photos taken tonight! :) You can really see how much the girls have grown in the last 21 months!!

A Comparison Almost 2 Years Later

I was looking through some old pictures last night trying to find some to scrap and I came across all the photos of the twins as newborns! Take a look at the difference! The first picture Maddie's in purple, Lexi in yellow - and it was taken at a few weeks. The 2nd pic is Lexi on the left, Maddie right - taken just last week. Then the last 2 photos were taken at about 3 months - and Maddie's on the left, Lexi right.

What's the Attraction to Dipping??

Apparently, there's some huge attraction to dipping that I'm unaware of. But the girls' newest thing is dipping whenever they get a chance...ketchup, bbq sauce, sweet & sour sauce...doesn't matter! They'll stick their fingers in it and lick it off their fingers! Ick!! Anyway, here are some dippin' shots from lunchtime today!!

Just a random shot of Alexis that I really liked. I think it's because you can really see how her eye color is changing so much. Her eyes used to be a deep blue...now they're more of a greenish/brown.

YUMMY TREATS!!

Afternoon snacks around here are usually some sort of fruit or snack cracker. But yesterday was my day to make goodies for inventory day and the kids were VERY well behaved while I was busy in the kitchen. So as a reward, all 3 of them got their very own yummy treat. The girls each picked a rice krispie treat and Nate, a chocolate chip cookie. Just look at how much they enjoyed these!!

Here's Maddie! She smeared those little candy balls all over her face! I even found one stuck to the wall next to where she was sitting!!!

And here's Lexi eating her rice krispie treat!

Here's Nathaniel eating his yummy chocolate chip cookie!! And btw, he LOVES that hat! And he wears it like John Travolta does in Grease, pulled down so far he has to lift his head up to see people!
