A Couple More of Starsky

The woman from the selter in Puerto Rico sent a couple of more pics of Starsky along with a short note - here's what it said:

AAAHHHH, WHAT A 'BOY'. HE'S YOUR TYPICAL BOY PUP. HE'LL CHEW IT, EAT IT, PLAY WITH IT, FIND IT, ROMP WITH IT, RUN WITH IT, AND GIVE THE I'M INNOCENT LOOK EVERY TIME. WITH A FEW CUDDLES BEFORE HE'S OFF AGAIN. I LOVE HIM !!!!! HE'LL BE 60 LBS AT LEAST FROM THE LOOKS OF HIM THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM. SOLID AND STRONG AND CUTE TOO !!!

We went out yesterday and bought pretty much everything we're going to need to bring him home. And we've rearranged our living room to fit the big crate in it. :) I'll be bringing you those pics (as well as kindergarten pics) soon!

Laughing at the description of your new baby! Too funny. He really is just adorable. Did you have fun shopping for him?

Sheri - we had a blast shopping for him. And while we were at the pet store, we had run-ins with a few big dogs and we were quite surprised that Nate did so well. He's usually cowering behind us and saying "no dog, no dog" but he actually got close to one and didn't say a word!! We saw a Great Pyrenese, Great Dane, some sort of Mountain dog and a couple of other huge dogs (like 220 lbs huge).

I couldn't believe how expensive it was going to be though! LOL But everything had to be HUGE (crate, leash, collar, nail clippers) in comparison to Max's stuff so it all cost more!! :)

We had a great time though and we're all set for him to come home...we just have to wait the 2 weeks!!

Those are BIG dogs! Don't kids just surprise the heck out of you though? Good for Nate; many adults have a hard time with large dogs, let alone being a child (and one that is not so good with new things). Way to go Nate!

Your approach to new things for Nate is really amazing and many parents could learn from you and Joe.

Two weeks would seem like forever for me! I have a hard time waiting for anything, ever! I once had a chihuahua and a boxer. The difference in crates and beds alone blew my mind. It is fun though. So many different and fun things for dogs out there. Can't wait to see more of him!
